Arts Month 2017

In 2017, the City of Santa Monica, joined with Los Angeles and other neighboring Southern California cities, in declaring April as “Arts Month”.

By proclamation of the Santa Monica City Council, as declared by Mayor Ted Winterer, the Santa Monica Arts Commission & the staff of the city’s Cultural Affairs Division were cited for their work for the arts.Mayor gives Masucci proclamation award

Accepting the Proclamation from Mayor Winterer, was Santa Monica Arts Commissioner Michael J. Masucci.

A New Home for EZTV and Independent Media.

This site will archive various media projects which convey the spirt of independence, social justice & awareness and a willing to expand the scope by which media production is conceived, articulated and distributed.

In time, many video links, and accompanying description and ephemera will chronicle the various periods, achievements and challenges which the story of West Hollywood, California’s arts-based media group, which date back to its earliest manifestations in the late 1970’s.


Not to be confused with the illegal (and extinct) bit torrent of the same name, this is the site for the digital archives of real and original EZTV, whose origins date to 1979.

Created by the late video pioneer John Dorr, and expanded and continued by a number of founding members, most notably Michael J. Masucci, and in later years by artists such as ia Kamandalu and Kate Johnson, EZTV and its related art space CyberSpace Gallery, has been the home to a number of artists, documentarians, and technologists, who anticipated, articulated and produced works in analog and digital video.
